A plain account of how this site has changed and why, newest first. It is kept so that anyone returning after a few weeks can pick the thread back up without reading a commit history. Each entry says what changed and what it was for; the machinery belongs in column C.
interruption-science.online gathers what research has found about interruptions at work: how often they happen, what they cost, how people get back, and what helps. It is the reading list behind Round Trip Distraction, a user-experience experiment that measures the same costs in everyday computer use. It was first published on 3 November 2026 with twelve plain answers and nine previewed sources.
The domain was registered and the site stood up on GitHub Pages in the GYR-O format. The first content answers twelve plain questions, from what interruption science is to where to read it, and draws the two lags researchers measure. Its main purpose is to state the much-quoted “23 minutes” as the original study reported it: the average time before interrupted work was resumed, not the time needed to refocus.
